Arsenal's First Team head coach, Mikel Arteta, is pleased with Mesut Özil's comment on Twitter showing support to The Gunners even though he had been left out of the 25-man squad in both leagues.
The 32-year-old will not play in any Europa or Premier League competition after the 25-man list to be submitted for both competitions didn't have his name on it.
The German player still went ahead to show his teammates support on Twitter saying he will be supporting his teammates from afar and he is expecting them to win 4-1.
Arteta commented after the game saying: "It’s great. It’s what I want from all the players that are in our squad, I wouldn’t expect anything different - so it’s good to hear.”
When also asked if he was frustrated about the media coverage Ozil has been receiving , he replied:
“No, it’s part of the situation we have and we have big players in this position. It's normal that people want to know, that fans want to have information and you guys want to ask the questions.
“So I take it in a natural way and try to respond with honesty and clarity and give the information that is available from the inside.”
Arsenal takes on Leicester City in their Premier League fixture on Sunday.
