1. FG DEBUNKS REPORT OF 65% ELECTRICITY TARIFF HIKE
The Federal Government of Nigeria has dismissed reports of an imminent 65 per cent increase in electricity tariffs in Nigeria. According to media reports, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Energy, Olu Verheijen, in a statement on Monday, made this known in reaction to reports alleging that the Federal Government is suggesting an imminent 65 per cent increase in electricity tariffs. In her reaction, Ms Verheijen said the report is a misrepresentation of what she said in a recent press interview.
2. LNSA, MUSHIN COMMAND ARRESTS 48-YEAR-OLD FRAUDSTER
The Mushin Command of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) has arrested a suspected fraudster operating around Fatai Atere Way, and its environs. The female suspect named Toyin Ariyo, aged 48 years, was apprehended as she allegedly attempted to swindle 18-year-old Ayomide around the Cappa area of Agege Motor Road at about 9 am on February 3, 2025.
3. WAEC STILL FREE IN LAGOS WITH TAX CERTIFICATE – LIRS

The Lagos State Internal Revenue Service, LIRS, has maintained that a Tax Clearance Certificate, TCC, of the parents or guardians of SS3 students in State-funded secondary schools is mandatory for them to access the free West African Examinations Council, WAEC, registration provided by the State Government.
4. LASG COMMISSIONS 2 PHARMAGRADE WAREHOUSES TO BOOST MEDICAL SUPPLY CHAIN
The Lagos State Government has reinforced its commitment to quality healthcare delivery with the commissioning of two newly upgraded Pharmagrade warehouses at the Lagos State Medical Store (LSMS), Oshodi.
