THE Ophthalmology department of Alimosho General Hospital, Igando, has joined counterparts across the globe to celebrate the World Glaucoma Week 2021 with free eyes screening exercise within the facility.
The World Glaucoma Week is a global joint initiative between the World Glaucoma Association and the World Glaucoma Patient Network to raise awareness about the disease.
The 2021 World Glaucoma Week 2021, tagged "The World Is Bright, Save Your Sight", started on the 7th of March and will span through the week till the 13th of March.
The ophthalmology department kick-started the week with a health talk, intimation of both patients on appointment and others about the dangerous eye disease (Glaucoma), an awareness walk around the hospital premises and the screening exercise.
