A mild drama took place last Saturday in Igando when a commercial motorcyclist reportedly sped off from police officers who tried to help his passenger.
The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) officers were on patrol on Saturday evening in Igando when they saw a red purse fall from a lady on a motorcycle.
They picked it up and tried signalling the rider to stop, but he mistook their good gesture for a ploy to arrest him and took flight.
The RRS officers, however, patiently followed the bike to its destination and handed over the purse to the woman.
She confirmed that the sum of ₦115,000 and a Tecno phone inside the purse were all intact.
Olajunji Disu, Commander of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) confirmed the incident and gave a thumbs-up to the officers.
