THE Executive Chairman, Igando-Ikotun LCDA in Alimosho LGA, Comr. Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya has won the 21st Nigerian Local Government Chairmen Award (LOGMA), organised in Abuja.
Akinsanya emerged as one of the best 28 LGAs Chairmen who won the merit award, out of the 774 LGAs in Nigeria and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State based on his outstanding performance in the last one year in office.
The award was an annual event organised by Mentors Communications Limited, titled Celebration of Excellence.
Presenting the award to the council boss, the Chairman of the occasion and Director-General, of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Otunba Olusegun Runsewe said: “I present the 21st LOGMA merit award to the Executive Chairman, Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Lagos State, Snr. Comrade Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya for his emergence as one of the best performing Local Government Chairmen in Nigeria, the year 2022 on this day Thursday, October 27, 2022.”
Earlier in his welcome address, LOGMA Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer, Mentors Communications, Chief Bayode Ojo congratulated all the awardees and enjoined them to continue the good jobs they have started, noting that they should see the award as a challenge to do more.
“I want you all to see this award as a challenge to do more and always endeavour to carry out people’s oriented projects and programmes at your various Local Government Areas,” he said.
