Igando-Ikotun Council boss reiterates commitment to commodity market development

THE Igando-Ikotun LCDA Chairman, Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, has re-emphasized his administration's commitment to ensuring a vibrant commodity market.

He said yesterday, "We are committed to growing and developing the commodities market", at a meeting with the executives of the Association of Commodity Market, Men & Women of Nigeria (Igando Ikotun LCDA Alimosho Chapter), who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

The Iya Loja of Ikotun, an executive of the association noted that the visit was to familiarize with the Council Chairman and also to discuss issues that need urgent attention in the market.

WhatsApp Image 2021-08-31 at 9.35.07 PM (1)The Council boss, in his response, said his administration is aware of the challenges facing market operators in Igando Ikotun community and added that his administration is currently engaging in a lot of activities with stakeholders especially on flooding, accessible roads for trucks and buses so to enable discharging of goods effectively. 

‘We are going to work with all the stakeholders to develop all the rules to make sure that we realise the potentials of this great Igando-Ikotun LCDA in the area of commodities trading,’ he said.
