IN a significant step forward for community development, the Community Development Committee (CDC) of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA in collaboration with the Local Council Development Area (LCDA), under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Comr. Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya has laid the foundation for an ultra-modern CDC hall and office within the council premises while honouring Akinsanya and his Vice, Hon. Mrs Mojisola Badmus, with outstanding leadership awards.
The project, according to the CDC Chairman, Hon. Pastor Ojo Samuel, aligns with the Local Government's agenda to provide a conducive environment for community engagement and participation.
The momentous occasion coincides with the committee's one-year anniversary celebration, held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the council Secretariat in Ikotun.
While presenting an award to Akinsanya, Pastor Samuel said the award was in recognition of Akinsanya's tireless efforts and contributions to the community's growth and development.
"The modern CDC hall will serve as a hub for community activities, promoting social cohesion and economic development. This milestone underscores Akinsanya’s dedication to fostering community growth and improvement,” he added.
