IN continuation of his development agenda for the residents of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, the Executive Chairman of the council area, Comrade Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya has facilitated the construction of Ali Momodu Road, which is almost nearing completion.
While speaking during a tour of the construction site recently, Akinsanya commended the work done so far by the construction firm and expressed his delight in the quality of materials for the project.
He also said the construction of the community road will ease the burden of motorists and motorcycle riders, as well as open the area to further development.
He added that the construction of the road, culverts, and drainages will save residents from the hazards of gully erosion and flooding, which have claimed lives in the past.
On his part, the Community Leader, Mr Dayo Lajide, said: “We appreciate our dear Chairman for doing this for us; it will be in the record that this road was constructed during his time to alleviate the suffering of the residents because it used to be a terrible network of roads within this community, but today, we can see the development of the road, which has contributed to the development of our area.”
