RESIDENTS of Asiwaju and Okesalu Streets in the Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area of Alimosho LGA in Lagos State may soon breathe a sigh of relief as the Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde has completed the rehabilitation of their roads.
While on an inspection tour of the completed roads last Thursday, Akinsanya, alongside his Vice, Hon. Mojisola Badmus, appreciated the community for allowing the contractors to complete the projects within the scheduled time frame.
Some residents who spoke with our correspondent expressed joy and appreciation to the Chairman for intervening to ease the daily struggles community members face while using the road.
“We thank our Chairman for bringing this rehabilitation project to our community. We are truly excited about this rehabilitation. Once completed, it will bring much-needed relief to the community, which becomes nearly impassable even after a small rain.
“The road is a bypass linking several communities such as Egbe road, Igando, Ikotun old garage, Abaranje, Oropo junction, and so on,” a resident said.
Comrade Akinsanya is committed to fulfilling his campaign promises and delivering dividends of democracy to his constituents. He is also grateful for the support and cooperation of traditional rulers, community leaders, stakeholders, and citizens in achieving his vision for the Igando-Ikotun LCDA.
