Akinsanya receives new Ikotun DPO

THE newly appointed Divisional Police Officer of the Ikotun Police Division, CSP Oni Waheed has promised to work with Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, the Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA to battle insecurity in the community.

CSP Oni made this pledge during his visit to the council Mayor on a familiarisation at the Local Government Secretariat, where he also appreciated the council Boss for the warm welcome as he promised to see to the request of the council.

On his part, the council Boss urged the DPO to ensure that peaceful coexistence, as well as security of lives and properties are well maintained.

He informed the DPO of the community’s periodic meetings with all the security chiefs, as he reiterated his readiness to always provide support the police need to discharge their duties.

He urged the new DPO to collaborate with every other security operative to ensure the smooth protection of the entire Igando-Ikotun community.

“It is indeed an added advantage to all of us having you as the DPO in our community because we are very much aware of your track record and achievements, which we are very sure will be replicated as you go about combating crime in this axis. We welcome you and we pray that your tenure here will yield positive results all round,” Akinsanya added.

CSP Oni thanked the Chairman for the warm reception and show of love and promised to hit the ground running while pledging to collaborate with the council Chairman on security matters in the community.

He assured the Chairman that he would build on the existing foundations laid by his predecessor and provide security to the people of the community.
