THE council Mayor of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, who will be completing his first tenure in office in the Year 2025, has rendered an account of stewardship to the people of the LCDA.
While speaking at the Igando- Ikotun APC LGA general meeting recently, he gave an account of stewardship to the party members, using the meeting as an avenue to clarify his approach to governance and developmental priorities, and also to assure them of other good things he has in stock for them, adding that as a public servant, it’s expected of him to give a good account of the public funds in his care.
The council Boss, who rolled out some of the milestones recorded by his administration, said he was able to execute projects based on the support of the management, Legislative Arm, and Executives.
Some of the projects executed include the construction of the ultra-modern market, construction of roads, empowerment of Igando-Ikotun youths with vocational training and skill acquisition programme, an empowerment programme for youths and women, rehabilitation of schools, remodelling and furnishing of offices, purchase of two plots of land for Boltex Primary School, purchase of ambulance bus for PHC, free ICT programme for youth.
Others include free GCE forms for deserving youths, monthly empowerment of Igando-Ikotun people, health and educational support scheme, free medical outreach, installation of solar power water with modern toilets in Ijegun and Egan, rehabilitation of Egan PHC, and lots more.
He assured the people of Ward A-F that his administration would ensure that the dividends of democracy get to Akesan and Obadore soon, and reiterated his willingness to execute more projects till his last day in office as the council Boss.
His words: “By God’s grace, I am gradually delivering the electioneering promises I made to them and I am going to do more because I promised them of rendering my service to them until the last day in office.”
Meanwhile, the APC Party members commended Comrade Akinsanya for touching virtually all sectors within his three years in office.
