THE Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, has expressed excitement over the 1-0 victory of the Super Eagles against the Palancas Negras of Angola in the ongoing African Cup of Nations 2023.
While speaking after the match last Friday, Akinsanya said: “As a proud Nigerian, I'm incredibly proud of their inspiring run in the AFCON with such a young team.
"Their determination has motivated many and shown us the power of youth. We're committed to bringing that same spirit to grassroots football in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA.”
After the match, prizes were given to those who predicted the scoreline at the Igando-Ikotun viewing centre in the council secretariat, courtesy of the Executive Chairman.
