YESTERDAY, news broke out that, veteran movie star, Olu Jacob is dead. The news has now been confirmed as false as the multiple award-winning actor is very much alive.
Announcing on microblogging app X that Olu Jacobs was alive was the spokesperson of AGN, Kate Henshaw, who charged those behind such claims to stop it.
She wrote: “How you people put up RIP posts about someone who is still alive, year in year out, is very sickening, Tbh.
“You do this to this great man and his family all the time. It is all shades of wrong. Stop for goodness sake. UNCLE OLU JACOBS is ALIVE.”
Also, Founder of Genevieve Magazine, Betty Irabor, debunked the news of his death as she tweeted: “Olu Jacobs is well and alive. Please ignore all rumours of his passing.”
Olu Jacob also confirmed that he is alive through a video conversation with his son in which he asked him, “Hello, dad, can you hear me? They said you died” and he responded, “I can hear, no, it’s a lie – I’m alive.”
The 82-year-old had been battling dementia for a while now.
