In a recent interview with popular media personality, Vivz, the host asked Joeboy: “Better’ is my favourite song ever. In that song, it’s like you’re speaking up for a woman who has been treated badly by another man.”

To which the artist replied: “It’s something that happens a lot in African society; domestic abuse. Sometimes women are maltreated and not treated properly. I wanted to shed light on domestic violence against women.”
