AMERICAN female rapper, Nicki Minaj has revealed why she decided to feature Davido on her new song, “If It’s Okay.”
According to her, she believed that Davido, with his catchy melodies and lyrical brilliance, was the perfect collaborator to bring that unique vibe to life.
“What drew you to Davido for the song ‘If It’s Okay’? In my opinion, he was an ideal choice for this incredible masterpiece! He was speaking that ish,” the user wrote.
She responded: “That man is an incredible writer & melody maker. It’s always a pleasure working with him b/c of our mutual respect for one another.
“I asked him to be a part of it to bring out the Afro beats tempo/feeling in it a bit more. Nigeria to the world.”
The collaboration is part of Nicki’s latest release, “The Pinkprint (Tenth Anniversary Edition)”, which features four new tracks, including “If It’s Okay” with Davido and David Guetta.
