NIGERIA rapper and hip hop artist Blaqbonez (Emeka Akumefule) has revealed that music star, Ololade Mi Asake used to be his backup artist during their days at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Osun State.
The rapper also went ahead to make it known that he has also been friends with entertainment colleagues, Fireboy, Superboi Cheque, Yhemolee, and Zamorra during their campus years at Obafemi Awolowo University.
Speaking in a recent chat with Kimoprah on Hip TV’s programme, Trending, Blaqbonez said: “I have known Fireboy, Asake, Superboi Cheque, Yhemolee, and Zamorra since OAU days.
“Zamorra and Asake have always been great at backups. You know this thing Asake does now with his vocals, he has understood this thing from time.
“So, I used to ask him to help me figure out these things. They’ve always been influential in my music journey because I feel like every phase of BlaqBonez helped build the BlaqBonez that I am now."
Both Asake and Fireboy are signed to YBNL Records, which is owned by Olamide. Yhemolee was the one that introduced Asake to Olamide and got him signed to YBNL.
