GRAMMY-nominated Nigerian singer, Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has officially launched his record label “Giran Republic”.
This confirms the news that the artist has parted ways with YBNL Nation, the record label owned by rapper and music executive, Olamide.
Asake confirmed his exit from YBNL by releasing his latest song, ‘Why Love’ under his imprint, Giran Republic.
However, Asake had addressed the rumours earlier in the year when he paid homage to Olamide in “Military”, his first song of 2025.
Asake got signed to YBNL Nation in February 2022. In July 2022, Asake signed a distribution deal with Empire. Despite his exit from YBNL, Asake still maintains his deal with Empire.
