THE Ounje Eko Discount Food Market has commenced in the Alimosho Local Government Area at Ebenezer Primary School in the Egbeda-Akowonjo LCDA of Alimosho LGA.
Note that the Sunday market, which started yesterday Sunday, March 17, 2024, is an initiative of the Governor Sanwo-Olu-led administration and is expected to take place continuously until otherwise stated across Lagos State at designated venues between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.
At the Ebenezer Primary School Sunday market in Egbeda, food items like bread, rice, beans, garri and egg were available for sale at a 25% discount from the market price.
Interested buyers were expected to pay at the pay-point with their ATM cards, which will be converted to vouchers that will subsequently be given to the vendors to receive the items paid for.
The buyers acknowledged the discount and hoped that the exercise would continue for a long time.
