Jelili trains, graduates, empowers 100 Alimosho primary schools pupils

Pupils across the primary schools in Alimosho Local Government, which include Akowonjo Primary School, Ebenezer Primary School, Shasha Primary School, African Church Primary School, Akowonjo, Abati Primary School, and Rauf Aregbesola Primary School, were given an equal chance of being trained on different vocations, which include tailoring/fashion designing, barbing, shoe making, and hairdressing.

Jelili trains, graduates, empowers 100 Alimosho primary schools pupils

THE Executive Chairman of the Alimosho Local Government Area, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon has celebrated the graduation of 100 primary school pupils in the council area after the successful completion of a six-month compulsory vocational training, which was integrated into their curriculum in Basic 5 and 6.

The event took place at the Local Government Secretariat in Akowonjo on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in the presence of community leaders, Local Government staff, and the parents of the graduating pupils.203a

Pupils across the primary schools in Alimosho Local Government, which include Akowonjo Primary School, Ebenezer Primary School, Shasha Primary School, African Church Primary School, Akowonjo, Abati Primary School, and Rauf Aregbesola Primary School, were given an equal chance of being trained on different vocations, which include tailoring/fashion designing, barbing, shoe making, and hairdressing.

At the end of the six months of training, the pupils were assessed and the successful ones, which numbered 100 pupils, were listed for graduation. 

The graduating pupils, in affirmation of their efficiency, showcased their ability by plaiting hair, making shoes, sewing a dress, and barbing at the event. Encouraged by their reported performance, which was proven at the event, the council Boss presented a certificate and a set of complete work tools to each of the 100 pupils. 203c

In her speech, the Executive Secretary of the Alimosho Local Government Education Authority, Hon. (Mrs) Airat Alamu, affirmed that the event is the first of its kind in Lagos State and a landslide step toward the progress of the pupils and consequently the community. 

Others who spoke appreciated the council Boss for his unrelenting effort towards the growth of the younger generation and for creating a better future for them.
