THE Lagos Assembly-suspended Executive Chairman of the Alimosho LGA, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon on Thursday, October 10, 2024, organised a routine medical checkup for residents of the council at the council secretariat in Akowonjo.
The medical care programme, which accommodated residents of all ages, featured blood sugar tests, blood pressure tests, and HIV tests, among other essential medical tests.
At the end of the test, further medical concerns, which include drug administration and referral to a health Centre or General hospital,l among other recommendations followed.
Speaking at the event, Jelili noted that the welfare of his people is a core part of his administration, adding that, so far, five health centres are located in the five Wards of the local council with seven hospital wards in all five centres. He noted that three of the centres were constructed by him, including the Bola Tinubu Health Centre, which has a lot of equipment and consequently operates like a general hospital. Others are the Ipile-rere Health Centre and the brand new Ologufe Health Centre.
He affirmed that his medical mission in Alimosho is well known by the residents in the LGA, Lagos State, and beyond.
