THE Executive Chairman of the Alimosho Local Government Area, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon has concluded the 3-day budget retreat of the LGA, which started on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Keems Hotel and Suites, Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun state.
The budget retreat, themed "Budget for Sustainable Growth and Development" started with the assessment of the performance of the Year 2024 budget, identifying the areas where the budget did well and other areas where the budget needs correction in preparation for 2025.
After a successful assessment of the Year 2024 budget, the management went straight to the evaluation of the proposals submitted by each department and collated by the budget departments, including the suggestions and requests from the stakeholders’ forum.
Identification of the sources of revenue that will fund the budget was the next area addressed by the management in order to ensure a smooth administration in the Year 2025.
The budget department was consequently charged by the Council Boss to affect all adjustments made to the proposal, as well as monitor it.
According to the Council Chairman, whatever is not contained in the budget may not be included in the final budget. Therefore, “all hands must be on deck to ensure an all-inclusive budget.”
