Efonalaye Street which links Oguntade Street in Shasha, Alimosho Local Government Area, is almost nearing completion stage, AlimoshoToday can report.
The drainage, which was constructed first and covering at least 980 metres, is already completed.
Walkways have also been created on either side of the road.
According to the Chairman of Landlords and Tenants Association, Mr Ayanbisi Gabriel, who spoke with AlimoshoToday, the road construction is a dream come true for the residents.
He said: "The road was in shambles before the construction as it was not passable for motorcyclists, talk less of pedestrians.
"We've written letters severally to the government to come to our aid without response. It's been a long time since we've been on it. But right now, we thank God."
Mr Gabriel was full of thanks as he demonstrated joy concerning the construction of the road.
