THE Lagos State Government has clarified its school closure directive following the death of Whitney Adeniran, a 12-year-old pupil of Chrisland Schools, that the closure only affects Chrisland School in Ikeja and not other branches.
With this clarification, Chrisland College, Idimu in the Egbe-Idimu LCDA of Alimosho would still remain in operation.
This clarification is necessary to address the anxiety of parents and members of the public on the erroneous claim that the school defied the State Government's order on its closure.
The State Government, in a statement, said only Chrisland High School Ikeja, where Whitney was a student until the unfortunate incident, remains closed as directed and the school authority has complied.
As investigations are underway, the Government has assured that the findings of the investigation will be made public as soon as it is completed.
