Police Community Relations Committee holds 40th anniversary of community policing

THE Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Alimosho chapter, has held its 40th anniversary of community policing, tagged "PCRC @ 40, Community Policing at its Best." 

During the event held at the Area M Police Command in Idimu, there was an enlightenment talk on drug abuse and cultism with the Resource Person educating the attendees on the adverse effects of hard drugs and cultism on the youths.

He charged all parents, community stakeholders and law enforcement officers to be more proactive against the menace.9285

Meanwhile, the Chief Host of the event, who is the Commander of Area M, ACP Yinka Ajeigbe had interactive sessions with the guests after the lecture, where he advised Community Development Association (CDA) members to register and become members of PCRC in their respective locality. 

While emphasising that the PCRC meeting is available everywhere there is a Divisional Police Station nationwide, the Area Commander noted that the PCRC is an important avenue through which the community and the police synergise.9286

Dignitaries at the event include the Igando-Ikotun CDC Chairman, Pastor Ojo Samuel, CDC Executives, Hon. Ishola Kazeem, SSA on Agric, Joint CDA Coordinators, Mr Opadipe Olabode, and the members of the CDC Security Committee.

Others were Hon, Rabiu A. Kazeem,  Egbe-Idimu CDC Chairman, Alhaji  Tajudeen Fajuyi, Mosan-Okunola CDC Chairman, Prince Adewusi A Samuel, Alimosho Local Government CDC Chairman,   Corps Superintendent Mustapha Fatai, Egbe-Idimu Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps Commander, Engr Femi Famuyide, Vehicle Inspection  Service, and a host of others.
