THE Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, officials of the Office of Public-Private Partnerships, and other key Government stakeholders attended the presentation of VODA Infrastructure Management Limited's progress report on the feasibility study for the 18-kilometre Alimosho Bypass Toll Road Project on Wednesday.

Hamzat said the report marks a significant milestone in the project’s development, following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on July 8, 2024. The comprehensive feasibility study evaluates the technical, financial, and operational viability of the proposed Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative, laying the groundwork for the project’s construction and completion.

He highlighted the project’s progress and its anticipated benefits, including reduced travel time and costs, improved quality of life for Lagos residents, decongestion of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, and increased revenue from road transportation.

“The aim of the collaborative effort reinforces the Lagos State Government’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure development, ensuring efficient and modern transportation solutions for the State’s growing population", Dr Hamzat added.314g

The stakeholders in attendance included the Honourable Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr Oluyinka Olumide; Special Adviser of the Office of Infrastructure; Engr. Olufemi Daramola; Special Adviser of the Office of Public-Private Partnerships, Mrs Bukola Odoe; Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku; Permanent Secretary of the Office of Infrastructure, Engr. Lateefah Ayomide Somide; Permanent Secretary of the Office of Physical Planning, Engr. Oluwole Olumide Sotire, and representatives from the Office of Public-Private Partnerships, among others.
