Recall that for more than two weeks, protesters across Nigeria have taken to the streets calling for an end to police brutality and the dissolution of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) police unit.

Also recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had dissolved the unit on October 11, 2020, and the Inspector General of Police announced the creation of a new unit, Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT), which the youths also rejected as the same old wine in new bottle.
