THE Manchester derby delivers as Man United secure a late comeback against rivals, Man City in a 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
City seemed to be running away with the win through Gvardiol's header in the first half but United had the last laugh as they equalised from a penalty in the 88th minute and stole the win through a superb goal by Diallo in the 90th minute.
Following the game, Amiron praised his team's efforts to change the course of results, before claiming that it was what they deserved based on the balance of play.
“Three points. We have a lot to do but massive for our fans. But I see the same game until 85 minutes. Maybe our conversation would be so different without the goals but the performance was the same,” Amorim said, per the BBC.
“They were in the game for 90 minutes. We didn't control the result throughout but I think we deserved this. Good day for us.
“You can feel it, we were near to scoring. We improved our speed in our runs and had opportunities. We controlled the attack of City and we believed it in the end. We wanted it more when we scored the first goal. Congratulations to the lads,” he added.
For Manchester City, they are somehow lost as Pep Guardiola's side has now won just one game in their past eleven matches in all competitions. The loss against United sees them drop off the top four in the Premier League.
