ARSENAL goalkeeper, David Raya has warned his team-mates to be weary of Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres ahead of their Champions League clash today.
The Gunners, who boast of remarkable defenders, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes will have to find a way to deal with in-form striker, Viktor Gyokeres at the Estádio José Alvalade.
The Sweden hitman has become one of Europe’s most prolific players after scoring 24 goals in 17 matches this season.
Speaking ahead of the match, Raya said, “We know his strengths, how he runs a lot in behind and scores a lot in one v. one and he is a top player in form.
“We are going to try and keep him very, very quiet. Don’t give him any chances. We have to step up defensively. Hopefully, we can do a great job and keep a clean sheet.”
The Gunners are 12th in the Champions League table and 4th in the Premier League table while Sporting CP are 2nd in the Champions League table and 1st in Liga Portugal.
