1.   LASG AWARDS IPAJA PHC AS MOST RESPONSIVE HEALTH FACILITY IN LAGOS STATE


The Ipaja Primary Health Centre, PHC, in the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, has been honoured with the prestigious "Most Responsive Health Facility Award, presented by His Excellency, Governor Olusola Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State. This accolade is in recognition of the facility's exceptional dedication to providing critical medical services to survivors of gender-based violence.

2.  EMIRATES LANDS IN LAGOS AFTER 2 YEARS OF SUSPENDING OPERATIONS


The United Arab Emirates, UAE, flag carrier, Emirates, on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, landed at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, MMIA, Lagos, two years after suspending operations in Nigeria. Recall that in November 2022, Emirates suspended flight operations to Nigeria over its inability to repatriate its $85 million revenue-trapped funds.

3.   TINUBU SWEARS IN KEKERE-EKUN AS SUBSTANTIVE CJN


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to respecting the independence of the judiciary, vowing never to interfere or abuse the relationship between the executive and judiciary. Justice Kekere-Ekun, the second female CJN in Nigeria’s history, was sworn in following her confirmation by the Senate.  

4. FAMUYIWA ENFORCES BAN ON ROADSIDE, WALKWAY TRADING IN AGBADO OKE-ODO LCDA


The Executive Chairman of the Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon.David Famuyiwa has announced a ban on the display of wares by the roadside and pedestrian walkways in the council area. This, according to him is a measure to ensure safety amongst the traders and buyers.
