THE Lagos State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), led by its Chairman, Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu, recently paid a working visit to the Mosan-Okunola LCDA, under the leadership of Hon. Olabisi Adebajo and was well received by top Council functionaries.
The Chairman of (LGSC), in his opening remarks, commended and appreciated the new administrative building, stating that it will provide a conducive working environment after it has been commissioned, which will yield positive performance of staff members.
He further established that the Commission's visit to the 57 Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas is a statutory function to help the Commission ensure that workers' welfare is not compromised.
The Executive Vice Chairman, Hon. Dayo Osinowo, on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Princess) Olabisi Adebajo, appreciated the Commission for the visit and for making staff welfare a priority while seizing the opportunity to appeal for improved IGR to encourage the Chairman on more welfare packages.
The Permanent Secretary, Establishment and Training, Mrs Bibilomo Olushekun, urged the staff to undergo training assigned to them and learn how to manage information and report timely when posted to new LGs/LCDAs. She also urged the council to organise in-house Junior Staff Training.
The Council-Manager, Mrs Fola Hamzat, in her vote of thanks, appreciated the Commission's visit while assuring of sustainability of staff’s welfare packages.
Also present at the event are the LGSC Monitoring Team, Executive Members, Management Team, and other Council staff.
