ON September 16, 2024, controversial music star, Portable took to his Instagram account to apologise for slapping a pastor who he caught preaching in front of his bar.
Recall that the artist was seen during an Instagram live session on September 9, 2024, slapping a pastor who was preaching in front of his bar in the Sango area of Ogun State.
This didn’t sit well with viewers and fans who called out the artist's behaviour as uncalled for. Reacting to this, he tendered an apology while explaining why he did what he did.
“My fans, community issues are different from that of the street. May God forgive me. I didn’t know he was a genuine man of God. If I knew I wouldn’t have slapped him.
“I’m also a child of God. I’m human, I’m not perfect. I am an orphan. They have harmed my sister through this same strategy,” he said.
Prior to that, Gospel singer Testimony Jaga had condemned the act, giving Portable three days to apologise to the man.
