NIGERIAN music producer and singer, Pheelz, whose real name is Phillip Kayode Moses, has revealed that he had to borrow Adekunle Gold's clothes to perform at Davido’s O2 concert in London last year.
According to the renowned producer, he had to drop at Adekunle Gold's place to pick up his clothes after Davido asked him to come over to his show just a few minutes after he cleared his visa.
Speaking in a recent episode of the F&S Uncensored audiovisual podcast hosted by Feyikemi Akin-Bankole and Simi Badiru, the producer said, “I talked to Bhadest [Davido], David my visa don comot. He was like, Bro if you can take the next flight to London, take it. So, I pulled up.
"The same cloth I wore to the visa office. I didn’t even pack my bags or anything. As I landed in London, I knew that AG was there, I hit up AG like, Bro, come to save me.
“If you look at the pictures from that show, my hair was rough. I didn’t even get a haircut. My trousers were, like, short because they were AG’s cloth. I took clothes from AG."
Pheelz won the Producer of the Year award at the 2020 edition of the Headies Award and Best Collaboration in 2023 at the Soundcity MVP award.
