THE Chairman of the Alimosho LGA Community Development Committee (CDC), Ven. Adetunji Adewuyi has called on the member Community Development Associations (CDAs) in the council area to take charge of their surroundings before miscreants and hoodlums take over the area.
This call was made at the second general meeting of the Committee after its inauguration in September.
According to the Chairman, the spate of migration of these miscreants in the name of looking for an abode is on the rise and if care is not taken, it could birth a serious case of stealing of properties and valuables.
He added that he knows of a place where he once warned them of the gathering of some miscreants some years back. And now, the environment has started experiencing theft that wasn't happening before.
According to him, a few days back, a food seller in the said area had her fufu and soup stolen overnight alongside the cooking pots. This is the reality of his warning, he concluded.
He, therefore, advised that all hands must be on deck to curb such occurrences anywhere else by ensuring a quick dismissal of miscreants as soon as they started gathering.
Other matters discussed include the capturing of all CDA community members in a database; prompt payments of dues to the CDC, Local Government and the State; as well as arriving at the meeting venue early.
