PROTESTERS from Omoba Jesu, Shobowale and Owolobowo Streets, on Monday, September 7, marched to the office of Ikeja Electric Company Plc, Akowonjo Business District on Ponle Street.

Their grievance was reportedly over the alleged disconnection of power for a week, caused by an unpaid high estimated bill.
Commenting on their complaint, one of the Ikeja Electric officials stated that the charge would remain, as it is passed on from the government. He also claimed that some compounds have an outstanding repayment.
However, after the day's protest, one of the protesters revealed that power had been restored the same day.
