Alimosho CDC holds monthly meeting

THE Community Development Committee (CDC) in the Alimosho Local Government Area, under the leadership of Ven. Adetunji Samuel Adewuyi held its meeting for February on February 20, 2025, at the Alimosho local government Secretariat, Akowonjo.

Being a monthly routine, the meeting was used to make further discussion on matters that have been affecting the communities within the local government.

Some of the issues raised include:
1. CDC BUILDING PROJECT: On this, the CDC Chairman encouraged all CDAs who are yet to support the CDC building project to do so to get the project delivered in a short time. Appreciating those who have supported already, the Chairman affirmed that supporting such a project is an honourable act that will remain unforgettable and consequently should be given priority.

2. ANNUAL DUES: The Chairman advised all CDAs to ensure that their registration is perfected across board. He reminded the CDA executives present of the State, Local Government, and CDC levy.

Other matters discussed include the request for the support of the community leaders towards ensuring a smooth revenue collection by the local government officials, as well as the call to order on the spate of kidnapping, drug abuse and the nuisance constituted by scavengers, which the members advised that it should be reported to the Seriki Hausawa.

Members who spoke encouraged other members to see the CDC Building project, not as a project of the CDC Executives alone. Rather, a project for all, which should be duly supported.

On kidnapping and drug abuse, they advised that it should be put forward for discussion at each CDA meeting to find a lasting solution. However, everyone needs to take caution and warn the members of their communities.
