1.    NIGERIAN AIR FORCE OPENS GRADUATE RECRUITMENT FOR 2024 DIRECT SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION


The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commenced recruitment for its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC33/2024) aimed at enlisting qualified graduates and post-graduates for training as officers in various professional fields. All application submissions must be completed within the given timeframe, and applicants are required to print and sign all relevant documents upon successful application.

2.  LASG CLEARS N68BN PENSION ARREARS FOR LAGOS RETIREES

Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu

The Lagos State Government under Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has cleared N68.5 billion pension arrears for retirees who retired from the State’s service. The Lagos State Head of Service (HoS), Mr Bode Agoro, hailed Sanwo-Olu for his continuous efforts to ensure that senior citizens receive their retirement benefits immediately after they exit the service.

3.   LAGOS TO BAN SINGLE-USE PLASTICS, SACHET WATER FROM JANUARY 2025


The Lagos State Government has announced plans to ban the circulation of single-use plastics and sachet water, among others from January 2025.  The ban is part of measures by the State Government to put in place policy guidelines for the plastic utility to further ensure sustainable management of plastic waste and a healthy and safe environment.

4. LAGOS ASSEMBLY SUSPENDS ALIMOSHO LGA CHAIRMAN INDEFINITELY

The Lagos State House of Assembly, under the leadership of Speaker Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa has indefinitely suspended the chairman of the Alimosho Local Government Area, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon. The suspension, which is with immediate effect, is coming barely nine months to the end of his tenure in the State.
