THE Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) yesterday stormed Idimu in Alimosho Local Government Area to sensitise residents and create awareness about the toll-free access to medical services for residents on offer by the state government.
The agency and its team, led by the General Manager, Dr Manuella Zamba, were physically seen approaching residents in markets, stalls, on the roads, shops, etc to educate and encourage them to use the EkoTelemed on order to avert medical complications and health disasters.
The sensitisation, which reached Idimu yesterday, began from Igando.
The sensitisation programme had been carried out in Agbado-Okeodo, Ifako, Agege and Iju Ishaga three days ago and it reached Egbeda the following day.
According to Dr Zamba, enrollees can gain access to highly trained and experienced medical doctors, 24/7, in any of the four languages spoken in Nigeria: English, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo.
The group moved from Igando through Ikotun to Idimu, yesterday, encouraging residents to speak with a doctor on phone for free, AlimoshoToday learnt.
