IN his efforts and quest to ensure inclusive representation and facilitate meaningful projects, the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Interior and Member of the House of Representatives representing the Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba, held a meeting with major stakeholders of Gowon Estate and the Federal Low-Cost Housing Estate, also known as Shagari Estate on the deplorable condition of roads within and outside the Estates at the administrative hall of Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Alimosho Federal Constituency, Lagos State over the weekend.
During the meeting, Ayuba brainstormed and discussed the necessary mechanisms to be put in place for the rehabilitation of the deplorable roads in the Federal Housing Estates.
It will be recalled that on Thursday, February 29, 2024, the lawmaker moved a motion on the floor of the Green Chamber of the National Assembly regarding the deplorable state of the road network in Gowon Estate and the Federal Low-Cost Housing Estate (Shagari Estate) in Alimosho Federal Constituency and sought the swift intervention of necessary government agencies.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), political leaders, the Community Development Committee (CDC), other community leaders, and other major stakeholders of the Federal Housing Estates.
