THE Alimosho Federal Constituency meeting scheduled for Saturday, 23, 2022 eventually held at the appointed venue, despite Chief Aboyade Sunday Babatunde, the APC Vice Chairman, Lagos West Senatorial District, not giving his consent.
Recall that Chief Aboyade had earlier reacted with a cold frown to the meeting, which appeared was called for without his consent and approval. Chief Aboyade then went on to release an official statement declaring the meeting inappropriate and unconstitutional, hence should not be honoured by Alimosho APC party faithfuls.
Information circulated in the media has it that the venue of the meeting was locked and the Lagos State Taskforce was deployed to threaten party leaders and members. It was also said that aspirants and party members were threatened via phone calls just so the meeting would not hold. Yet, the meeting was held and party members attended in high numbers.
During the meeting, the Alimosho Federal Constituency Leadership led by Enilolobo Abdullahi Ayinde sensitized party faithfuls on the need to get their PVCs, if they truly desire Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be the next president.
Enilolobo said mobilization must start from the various polling units and it must be ensured that the electorates get their PVCs. He opined that if over twenty thousand (20,000) that attended the meeting go out there and do the needful, then Lagos will be in a safer place on election day.
"We must speak with our votes by ensuring Gov. Sanwo-Olu gets more quality votes in Alimosho", he admonished.
He went further to recognize all the Aspirants and assured them the most popular and the best will represent us while the rest with serious attitude won't lose out.
"This is so unprecedented and we are grateful for your steadfastness. We are most grateful to you all who have once again showed that nobody can threaten or intimidate you. The attendance speaks volume and is indeed worthy of note",
