RESIDENTS of Ilutoro Community by Isuti Road, Egan in Ikotun-Igando Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have been full of praises and in high spirits, after receiving a new transformer from the Lagos State Government in the early hours of yesterday.
Sources claim that the community had been in endless blackout for long before the state government intervened.
A resident, Agbolahan Olawale, said: "We really appreciate the gesture. The entire Ilutoro Community Development Association (CDA) in Isuti Road, Egan, Igando hereby show our appreciation to His Excellency, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for providing us with a new transformer."

According to a statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs, Dr Wale Ahmed, the Lagos State Government is currently providing rural electrification in identified communities to enhance rapid development.
Dr Ahmed said: "The Lagos State Government is desirous of providing rural electrification in
identified communities to enhance rapid growth and development, improve the socio-economic activities of the people, enhance small-scale industries and commercial activities to improve security of lives and
property, especially at night.
Dr. Ahmed added: "This will reduce rural-urban migration and reduce the burning of fossil fuel which creates green-house gases that enhance climate change, amongst others."
He also pointed out that the project is being carried out in eight other communities in Alimosho Local Government Area, under the Ikeja Division.
