ON Sunday, July 25, 2021, some kind of history was made in Alimosho. Never had Alimosho organised a comedy show in a serene atmosphere, with a careful plan, and supported by a Lagos State Ministry and to have in attendance, a wholesome crowd. But Alimosho did it. Thanks to Oyiko Entertainment World, a vibrant Alimosho-based entertainment company that made it happen.
The project, Laughter Unscripted, was put together within a month. Mr Oyiko, the boss at Oyiko Entertainment World and as well, a stand-up comedian got his peers around in a jiffy and just playfully put the sketches together without even any sponsor at sight.
Riding on AFRICA G.A.T.E.S' horses, a body of young visionaries who are determined to influence positive community growth and development, Oyiko Entertainment World eventually was able to launch the first comedy show in Alimosho in the real sense of it.
The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, the operator of the Lagos Theatre, Igando, and where the event was held, also added its weight to the making of history, by granting the Right of Use of its facilities. On that, a shout-out to the most beautiful woman in this country, Hon Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf, the Commissioner for Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture who played a most distinct role in the scheme of things.
Alimosho is ready for the big league and Oyiko's ''Unscripted Laughter'' Comedy Show just proved it. The turnout was massive and readily impressive. The Bikers Club was amazing, giving free tickets to some attendees. Okun Alimosho team was there to render support and AlimoshoToday.com, media partner of Okun Alimosho and AFRICA G.A.T.E.S got the news out to the public.
Alimosho is ripe and ready for the big things. Unscripted Laughter just proved it.
