THE Alimosho-based Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf, has challenged youths across the State on adding value to their immediate society despite the numerous obstacles and hurdles on their way.
The encouraging speech was delivered recently at the ongoing youth empowerment programme tagged: "Moreno Development Youth Programme".
The programme is the initiative for youths in the Alimosho area of Lagos State to commemorate the year 2020's International Youth Day celebration.
Speaking on the theme of the annual event, "Youth Engagement for Global Action", the Commissioner called on youths to be deliberate in their actions and intentions by not being adverse to little beginnings.
Urging the young Alimosho attendees not to be limited by their academic qualifications, the Commissioner said: "Your course of study or university degree is only meant to expose and widen your horizon, and as such, you should not limit yourselves to what you have learnt in school only."
