THE All Progressives Congress (APC) party’s House of Representatives candidate in the Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba (Mayor KK) has called on Nigerians to live at peace with one another.

Ayuba stated this at the 14th annual Islamic International Conference of the Daaru-Naim Academic for Sharia Science of Nigeria, held at the Daaru-Naim Praying Ground, Igando, Alimosho, Lagos, on Sunday, January 1, 2022.

Ayuba, who represented the Deputy-Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Dr Kadiri Hamzat, at the event said that peaceful coexistence and unity in Nigeria are the collective responsibility of everyone.

"It is our collective responsibility as Muslims to effectively manage the differences in the field of Da’wah (Islamic preaching) by ensuring that, in exerting our diverse efforts to serve Islam in the form of calling to the path of Allah, we should not allow our self-conceptualized ideology to overshadow the Islamic doctrine of genuine preaching.

"Our Islamic scholars are also implored not to relent in their efforts in using their scholastic prowess not only in the management of differences in Islamic Da’wah but in all facets of Islamic affairs," he said.

He also emphasised that all hands must be on deck for peaceful coexistence among Muslims, for a greater Lagos and for harmony, peace, and unity in Nigeria.

He then encouraged Nigerians to collect their voter's cards and vote for APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

"Collect your voter's card in your various Local Government Areas; vote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President, re-elect Sanwo-Olu for Lagos Governor and myself for House of Representatives and cast your vote for all APC candidates," he stated.

Attendees at the international conference include Islamic scholars from Nigeria, Mali, Cote d'Ivoire, Saudi Arabia, America, and other parts of the world.
