1.    CARWASH OPERATOR BAGS LIFE JAIL FOR RAPING, IMPREGNATING MINORLagos Special Offences Court
Justice Rahman Oshodi of the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court on Tuesday sentenced a 41-year-old car wash operator, Ezekiel Udoh to life imprisonment for defiling and impregnating his neighbour’s 12-year-old granddaughter. The Judge in his judgment held that the prosecution discharged its burden of proof beyond reasonable doubt that Udoh committed the offence.

2.  LAGOS TASKFORCE WARNS AGAINST BLOCKING ROADS FOR PARTIES, SOCIAL GATHERINGS265b
The Lagos State Taskforce has stated that the habitual conduct of blocking roads for parties or religious events is illegal, warning that those involved will face the full weight of the law. The Chairman further emphasised that the Lagos Taskforce will not tolerate any act that compromises environmental and public safety or inconveniences road users.

The Women and Girls Empowerment Foundation International (WOGEFI) recently hosted the premiere of the "Madam Lecturer" series at the Lagos State University, LASU, sparking conversations about lecturer-student relationships, lecturer-student boundaries, and power dynamics in the University. Attendees shared their perspectives on the importance of maintaining professional relationships and promoting a safe learning environment.

4.  LASG APPROVES LASUCOM UPGRADE TO MEDICAL VARSITY263g
The Lagos State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Tolani Sule, has announced that the State Executive Council has approved the upgrade of Lagos State University College of Medicine, LASUCOM, to a specialised medical university, to be named the University of Medicine and Health Sciences. Recall that in August, the State Government commenced the process of converting LASUCOM into a full-fledged, stand-alone medical University.
