Alimosho FRSC brings ‘ember’ months safety campaign to Alimosho Constituency

AS part of efforts to minimise the risk of deaths caused by Road Traffic Crashes (RTC), the Alimosho Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, introduced its public enlightenment campaign to the Alimosho Constituency.

The event took place in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA.

While speaking at the event, the Alimosho FRSC Unit Commander Corp, Mr Ladi, urged the public to join hands in embracing the corps policies to enjoy safety on the roads.

Mr Ladi said “In our bid to key into the corps corporate strategic goals to minimise the risks of death, we have flagged off the 2021 ‘Ember’ month safety campaign at the centre point with members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers(NURTW).

“This is an extension of the official flag-off and the theme is ‘Maintain a safe speed, avoid night travels and enjoy  quality road experience."

Meanwhile, the Vice-Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Hon. Mojisola Ayinke Badmus who represented the Executive Chairman, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde at the event, reiterated that it is important for all road users to support the FRSC and order traffic officers in order to reduce road accidents.

“There is a need for everyone to support the campaign to reduce carnage on our roads. I urge the general public to join hands together with the corps in reducing RTC on our roads,” she said.

She also enjoined road users to always keep a safe speed limit and to be conscious of other road users including pedestrians.
