THE lawmaker representing Alimosho Constituency 01 in the Lagos state House of Assembly, Hon. Bisi Yusuff has endorsed Hon. Luqman Orelope as the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party to represent the constituency in the forthcoming general elections.
According to reports, Hon. Yusuff made the endorsement at the 8th annual Constituency 01 stakeholders' meeting themed ‘2023 General Election: The Imperative of Permanent Voters' Card’ where he said; “As you are all aware, general elections for the next democratic dispensation would be held from February 2023, hence the need to commence preparations to ensure our success at all levels. As mentioned in the theme, the imperative of the permanent voters' card is hinged on the need to ensure that we are eligible to exercise our civic responsibility.
"We engage in active participation in the general elections especially by ensuring that we vote the right, trustworthy, competent, and capable candidates be our leaders and representatives at all levels of government. Of course, the need for this cannot be overemphasized as a very important civic duty and a critical key to ensuring the sustenance of our transformative government and ensuring democracy in the state and the nation.
"I thank the good people of Alimosho for the opportunities given me to serve them as the executive secretary, as a two-term Executive Chairman of Ayobo - Ipaja LCDA, and now doing my third term as a legislator in the Lagos State House of Assembly, I appreciate you, but my appreciation would be complete if you, myself, and everyone come together to support Luqman Orelope who will be my successor, God willing.
"We should all rally around him to ensure he wins the election. Luqman's win is Asiwaju's win. Asiwaju's win is our win. Let us do this together irrespective of our differences. As for me, I will do everything humanly possible for the people of Alimosho to deliver Alimosho for the All progressives congress.”
The yearly stakeholders' meeting is the initiative of the current speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa.
