AHEAD of the March 18, 2023, Gubernatorial and State Assembly general elections in Lagos, the Member, Lagos State House of Assembly and the All Progressives Congress (APC), LAHA candidate for Alimosho Constituency ll, Hon. Kehinde Olaide Joseph, on Thursday, March 16, 2023, embarked on an aggressive door-to-door and walk-through campaign across all the political Wards and communities in his Constituency, seeking support and votes for his reelection bid and Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as the Governor of Lagos State for a second term.
During the walk, Kehinde Joseph urged party stakeholders and Lagosians not to allow religious, ethnic, and emotional factors to determine the election of the next Governor of Lagos State, adding that the election should be about leadership, character, audacity to think, and ability to think deeply and solve problems.
He charged all the tribes, settlers, visitors, and residents of Lagos to work toward the reelection of Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as the Governor of Lagos.
"Sanwo-Olu deserves continuity to consolidate and achieve the 'Greater Lagos Rising' mantra. Lagos requires it, Sanwo-Olu deserves it, and it would be, by the grace of Almighty God, a bigger, better, and stronger State that all of us would be truly proud to have been part of," he said.
The grassroots legislator also declared that his re-election bid will position the Constituency on the path of positive consolidation, adding that his return to the Lagos State House of Assembly will afford the constituency another quadrennial round of effective and people-centred representation.
"In the past three and half years, I can boldly say that we delivered a representation with a human face. Our numerous humanitarian supports for the less-privileged, facilitating of access roads, scores of youth and women empowerment programmes, unparalleled intervention in education and health, employment facilitation for the youth, and facilitation of grants for businesses, among other glittering records of performance speak to how important it is for the constituents of Alimosho Constituency II, to return us to office,” the lawmaker said.
He then assured the people of the Constituency that he will double his records if re-elected.
"I am used to breaking my record. The record we set since we were elected in 2019 can only be broken by us.
“So, I am charging us today to come out en masse come Saturday to vote massively for All Progressives Congress (APC) party candidates so that the 'Greater Lagos Rising' mantra would be achieved," he stressed.
Kehinde Joseph was joined on the walk by several other party Chieftains, stakeholders, supporters, and stalwarts.
