Afrovanguard hosts 1st Community Advancement Forum in Alimosho

ALIMOSHO witnessed a significant milestone on January 25, 2025, as Afrovanguard held its first Community Advancement Forum with Mr Ujagbe Onofua being the Chief host. 

The event, themed “Be The Dream,” brought together key stakeholders, community leaders, and residents for an engaging and impactful session.

The event started with the opening address by the Chief Servant of Afrovanguard, Mr Babatunde Adeola (BOJA) then a presentation by the Managing Director of IDCL, an inclusion development company, also the Administrative Manager of Street to Stardom project, Ms Modinat Tijani. 0abdf641-a3d5-4378-b765-5f6f4ad0157b

After which there was a panel session featuring prominent figures in attendance, including Comrade Adesunkanmi,  President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ikotun; Comrade Oyero, President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Alimosho; Comrade Chris, representing the Eze Ndi-Igbo of Alimosho; and Modinat Tijani, Project Administrator of Street-To-Stardom project.

Meanwhile, the keynote speaker, Mr Oluwatoyin Abe, representing the Secretary of the CDC in the Mosan-Okunola LCDA, took the floor to engage the community about the importance of identifying with their community and contributing great efforts to see the community grow. He spoke about community building being everyone's responsibility, collective effort and shared progress. 

The Community Advancement Forum featured an interactive panel session with discussions centred on strategies for community growth and empowerment. Participants explored how individuals and groups can collectively achieve their dreams and contribute to the betterment of the community.b570615e-6d00-45df-8a30-6672460a3185

Community members actively participated, raising questions and sharing perspectives during the interactive segment. The event fostered a sense of unity and purpose, leaving attendees inspired and motivated.

Registration for MediaPro and Techome training was announced while the grants for women in business across the community were shared by the Chief Financial Officer of Afrovanguard, Miss Anuoluwapo Ogunbanjo.

Afrovanguard announced that the next Community Advancement Forum will take place in February 2025, promising another round of impactful discussions and collaborations.
