A gift for all of us, from the Okun Alimosho caucus (you won't believe this!)

The Western culture runs in our veins. It's "Good morning, dad", not anymore "Ba mi, eku oju mo".

THE Western culture runs in our veins. It's "Good morning, dad", not anymore "Ba mi, eku o ju mo"; and we since replaced "Tales By Moonlight", and "Alo Iyagba" with SpongeBob, Henry Danger, and The Thundermans.

Still, Okun Alimosho, a youth-driven organization based in Alimosho believes we can have our lost culture back and the not-for-profit organization is trying to sew up the torn fabric.

On that, Dogman Pet world, a supporting partner of Okun Alimosho has sent out the list of names of ALL animals in Yoruba Language! So, alongside the assembly rhymes sung on our schools' assembly, our children can at least know what names animals are called in their mother tongue.

And we think this is necessary; not when recently a 11 year old pupil on a farm excursion with other pupils saw a life rabbit for the first time and screamed "See big rat, oh my God!"

Here are the names of animals in Yoruba Language:
