THE Executive Chairman of the Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Famuyiwa has commended the residents of the council area for maintaining peace and order amidst the ongoing nationwide protest.

While addressing the LCDA residents recently, Famuyiwa said: “Dear constituents, I want to sincerely commend your tranquillity and calmness displayed in the last two days as the nation experiences protests against the administration of President Bola Tinubu over the economic hardship across the country. To be candid, we may have been stretched beyond limits occasioned by the high cost of living and other economic headwinds, but we must not lose hope. We can overcome these challenges and place our country on the path of sustainable growth and development if we work together in unity.

"I want to assure you that the Government knows your demands and requests and we are not resting on our oars to ensure that policies and actions that will reassure the common man of our sincerity and commitment to improving their living conditions are established.

“I, therefore, appeal to you to continue to remain peaceful as miscreants are still in their hideout looking for an opportunity to hijack the protest to loot your shops and break into your homes under the pretence of protest. Thus, let us all continue to cooperate with the Government and security agencies to maintain peace, as we attend to our normal businesses during the period of the protest.”
